where can i find a 6 foot dowel rod 1 inch in diameter?

i want to use it to make a bo staff. could i find them at lows or home depot?

My daughters are in Tae Kwon Do and when I needed to make them Escriba sticks I went to the local Home depot and Menard's. They both had the shorter version. Do be sure to ask for the oak as pine will not last very long. You may have to order a 6 foot length but if you do I would get several of them for a couple of reasons. The first is that they do break and this way you will have another already on hand. The second is so that you can have them in different colors. You can even apply reflective tape around one and that looks extremely good when twirling them for competition. I hope that this help. Good luck.
